The NAFTAs a great success, once again!
The annual awards ceremony was held at Byrchall High School, with an excellent turn-out with the Hall packed to the rafters!
Special guests, parents and friends all gathered to watch some special performances between the awards, and a sneak preview of our next Musical, GYPSY staged at Byrchall 24-27th August 2016.
See the social page for a full list of the winners. A well done goes also to all of the worthy nominees in each catagory.
A tribute was also made to Mervyn Whittaker, a member and friend of NADOS for over 30 years, who passed away last year. Mervyn was cast in last year's Musical - Honk!, but had to pull out of the show due to ill health, but still attended rehearsals throughout his illness to give support and advice to his understudy! Mervyn was awarded two awards on the evening - The Bob Knight Award for Continuous Commitment and the John Barham award.
Our very own agony aunt!
This year, we see the screening of the programme about our very own Abbie Lloyd, and her Grandma, Marie Lloyd giving her only the best of advice.ie suffers from Crohn's Disease and has to wear an ileostomy bag
Abbie, 22, suffers from debilitating Crohn’s Disease, a condition which leaves her exhausted and in pain, as well as forcing her to follow a strict diet with no alcohol. Not being able to party with her fellow students has made life difficult for her, and she admits it means her love life is ‘practically non-existent’. She also has to wear an external ileostomy bag on her abdomen which collects her faeces, and this makes her feel uncomfortable about having a relationship.

We're all very proud of you Abbie! x
A new NODA Area Representative Summer 2015
Our new Area Representative has now been appointed - And we're really proud to announce that it's none other than DJ Bazza!
Barry Dilworth will take over the reigns from Peter Johnson, who is taking a well earned rest.
Watch out for Bazza around and about in his chains of office! - Much to wife - Vicky's disapproval!
Another NODA Nomination! Feb 2016
NADOS were, once again, been nominated for Best Pantomime for Sleeping Beauty, our 2015 Pantomime at the prestigious NODA North West awards ceremony held at Manchester's Piccadilly Hotel in May 2016. Unfortunately this year, not the regional winner, but an excellent acheivement for the society to be the Winner of District 8. An area which covers over 20 societies!
